Please read the FAQ below or contact awards@waopportunityscholarship.org if you have any problems or questions.
Q: Will my grades in the spring quarter be affected if they are pass/fail?
A: We understand that many institutions are transitioning to pass/fail models for spring semester curriculum. Any applicant's chances of being accepted to WSOS will not be harmed as a result of this.
Q: How should transcripts be sent during the pandemic?
A: WSOS advises that individuals who are required to submit a transcript or score report do so online as part of the application. While we accept transcripts from any mail carrier, we prefer submitting transcripts via USPS postal mail if they must be mailed in (from a post office).
Many candidates, such as high school seniors, are exempt from submitting a transcript. To discover which candidates must submit a transcript, look at the Transcript Requirements Chart.
Q: Should I apply for financing even if I'm not sure whether my program will be offered because to COVID-19 campus closures?
A: Without a doubt. Applicants should feel free to apply to any program that is eligible. If your program is not offered this quarter, we will hold your award until the school reopens its programs, or we will enable you to enroll in another qualified program.
