Horatio Alger Scholarship in USA: Scholarships valued at $10,000 each
Members and friends of the Horatio Alger Association have been funding need-based college scholarships for low-income youngsters to achieve their aspirations via higher education since 1984. We expect to have granted a total of $235 million in scholarships to more than 35,000 eligible students by the Association's 75th anniversary in 2022.
The Association assists students seeking career and technical certifications and degrees, bachelor's degrees, and graduate studies through its several scholarship programs.
The Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs, as one of the nation's largest need-based college scholarship programs, assists high school students who have encountered and overcome significant challenges in their young lives.
While many programs focus on academic performance or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association looks for children who have shown drive, honesty, and persistence in the face of adversity while still being in financial need.
