Randy, "Pap-Paw" Rummage, their husband and father, was tragically killed in December 2013 by an intoxicated motorist using prescription medications, and the Rummage family created the weRstars Foundation in his honor in 2018.
Randy had an optimistic outlook on life, concentrating on the good in the world. He was a valued confidant and friend who aimed to bring out the best in others by serving and pushing them to make decisions that would improve their own life as well as the lives of those around them.
weRstars aspires to carry on Randy Rummage's spirit of optimism by providing academic scholarships to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional academic, citizenship/community service, and personal character potential.
OUR OBJECTIVE:
Our goal is to recognize outstanding high school students who make a positive impact on the world. We aim to give college scholarships as a foundation to assist these children in achieving their educational goals and continuing to seek their "star potential."
