Develop your skills as an adult educator through UFV's Mid-Career Adult Education Bachelor's Degree Professional Development Program. Organize your studies according to your busy schedule. Except for some face-to-face courses, all courses are conducted online, and if you are a remote student, you can access video conferencing.

Their learning is investigated by reviewing the fundamentals of adult education and e-learning. Collect your first 60 credits through a combination of UFV courses, transfer credits, and previous learning assessments. Please explore instructional design, adult education theory, and elective courses that suit your interests to obtain higher-level credits. All courses combine practical and theoretical courses with real experience in the workplace.
At the end of the adult education bachelor's degree, consolidate your knowledge with three final courses in which you will explore your passions, learn comprehensively, and apply reflective skills.

You can also look for opportunities to organize and teach union, worker, and employee education programs. Most of the students in this program work in adult learning communities. They sign up to learn more about this fast-growing field, earn a formal certificate, and/or prepare for professional development.

Option 1: University entrance (for students who have attended some post-secondary school)
Applicants must meet the Degree/diploma level English language proficiency requirement. See the English language proficiency requirement section of the calendar for details on how this requirement may be met.
One of the following:
Completion of a minimum of nine credits in courses numbered at the 100 level and above, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.67 (B- average) on all credits attempted;
Completion of a minimum of 30 credits in courses numbered at the 100 level and above, with a CGPA of 2.00 (C average) on all credits attempted; or
Completion of the Workplace Education associate certificate.
Option 2: Departmental discretionary admission
The Adult Education department will also consider applications from working professionals with at least three years of significant and relevant Adult Education or related experience, even though they may not possess the required GPA, course grades, or course currency necessary for entry into the degree program. The department will exercise its discretion in such cases and, where warranted, accept students on a conditional basis.
Students accepted to the program under this applicant category will be required by the department to support their application by submitting a résumé and/or letters of reference to the program advisor, as determined by the department.
