Community development is an exciting field of research that focuses on developing basic skills and methods that enable you to work face-to-face with the community and improve the situation of others. The program will bring high-returning careers and bring changes to people in the community.
Arcadia community development teachers share knowledge, provide services, and train leaders to work for a healthy and just society. Choosing to learn community development will help you develop the necessary skills to improve the quality of life of others and build an active, healthy, and sustainable community. You can choose to focus broadly or focus on one of the following four areas: entertainment management, community health, social activities, and outdoor and adventure education.
You will improve your communication and leadership skills and learn to work effectively in a group and multi-stakeholder environment. You will learn to work together in government, political and economic systems, and policies. Your skills can be applied to various career paths and attract a wide range of employers and industries.

At Arcadia, our program emphasizes the qualities that professionals in the field consider important to your success. You will work with teachers in the classroom and the community. You will be an individual, not a number. Theory and basic concepts are balanced with experiential learning opportunities.
During the core period, you will have a unique experience when undertaking major fourth-grade projects carried out locally or internationally. During your tenure, you will gain valuable experience in the in-depth study of projects of particular interest to you.
Future Careers:
Completion of Grade -12 or High School or Equivalent. All applications must be supported by official copies of all high school transcripts and other records of academic work.
Transcripts should be certified by the school and prepared in a sealed envelope by the school. They can either be sent to Acadia directly from the school or given to the student to send. Certified transcripts acceptable to Acadia will be used as a basis of admission.
