Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship in USA: Lockheed Martin’s Vocational Scholarship Program is the first of its kind within the aerospace and defense industry and awards up to $6,600 to as many as 150 recipients each year.

The Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship Program welcomes you! We are happy to share more about our work to assist the academic pursuits of learners around the country, whether you are a student, parent, family member, teacher, school administrator, or just interested in STEM education.

Lockheed Martin introduced the Vocational Scholarship program in January 2020 to help students of all ages who are pursuing skills-based training in cutting-edge technology and advanced industrial sectors.

Students seeking associate degrees, credit-bearing certifications, or industry-recognized qualifications in specified fields at an approved vocational technical school, trade school, or two-year community college are eligible for the award. The Vocational Scholarship program, which is partially funded by tax reform revenues, is an important aspect of Lockheed Martin's commitment to workforce development and education.

The Vocational Scholarship Program at Lockheed Martin is the first of its type in the aerospace and military sector, awarding up to $6,600 to up to 150 students each year. Lockheed Martin believes that the scholarship would inspire students to explore a fulfilling career in technology and advanced manufacturing.

Application Criteria for Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship in USA

Applicants to the Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship Program must meet all the following eligibility requirements. Applicants must:

Be a U.S. citizen.
Be a high school graduate (or GED equivalent), a high school senior graduating in 2021, or a current undergraduate student with less than a bachelor’s degree.
Have not earned a bachelor’s degree prior to the 2022-23 academic year.
Be currently enrolled or planning to enroll part- or full- time at a U.S. accredited vocational technical school, trade school, two-year community college or state college for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Be pursuing an associate degree, credit-bearing certificate or an industry-recognized credential, in one of the fields of study below, with an anticipated completion date no earlier than December 2022 and no later than June 2025.

Vocational Scholarship Selection of Recipients

Academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal are all taken into account when selecting scholarship recipients.
Applicants enrolled or seeking to enroll at one of Lockheed Martin's priority institutions will be given preference. To be eligible for the scholarship, you do not have to attend one of the prioritized universities.
Students and applicants who self-identify as members of traditionally underrepresented groups, such as women, racial and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act), people who identify as LGBTQ, and people who are or will be first-generation college students, will receive special consideration.
High school seniors who are current Lockheed Martin interns or who are currently dual-enrolled in high school and trade school within one of the eligible fields of study and who plan to attend institutions as outlined in the Eligibility Criteria will be given preference from a pool of qualified applicants.
Scholarship America is in charge of selecting the awardees. No officer or employee of Lockheed Martin is involved in the selection process. All applicants consent to the decision being final.
