DEWALT Trades Scholarship in USA: If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $10,000 award; Up to 20 awards will be granted
The DEWALT Trades Scholarship was created by Stanley Black & Decker to help students seeking a trade degree or certificate in a field linked with the Stanley Black & Decker Trade Goals, such as construction, industrial, motor/power sector, mechanics, and technology.
Scholarship America®, the country's biggest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition aid, and other education support programs for companies, foundations, organizations, and individuals, is in charge of this initiative. Regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, handicap, or country origin, awards are given.
Have or had a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Each applicant will be required to submit an essay on the topic: Please provide the reasons you selected your trade focus and how pursuing this field will positively change your life or the lives of others. Please also include where you see the future of your trade in the next five years.
Individuals seeking degrees or certificates in the service industry, such as culinary arts, cosmetology, or hospitality, are not eligible. Employees of Stanley Black & Decker and its affiliates, as well as their dependant children, are not eligible.
Only the first 1000 applications received will be evaluated for a scholarship.
Scholarship winners are chosen based on the following criteria:
The student will earn a $10,000 reward if he or she is chosen as a winner.
There will be up to 20 prizes given out.
The awards are only given once. Past beneficiaries are not eligible to reapply. Awards are intended for undergraduate studies, and only the first 1000 applications will be evaluated.
In February, you will be told of the outcome of your application. Not all program candidates will be chosen as beneficiaries. Students who fulfill the program's qualifying requirements each year may reapply.
Stanley Black & Decker uses Scholarship America to conduct scholarship payouts. Early August is when the payments are made.
A comprehensive and updated transcript of grades. The submission of grade reports is not permitted. For each course and semester in which each course was taken, unofficial or online transcripts must include the student's name, school name, grades, and credit hours.
If you don't provide all of the needed papers online, your application isn't complete.
