These are the international student eligibility for the Msc in Chemistry in Canada

  1. Students are encouraged to contact faculty prior to applying to secure research supervision.
  2. MSc applicants should hold an honours bachelor’s degree in chemistry or bio-chemistry with first or upper second division standing, minimum GPA 3.0/4.3 (70% or B).
  3. PhD applicants should hold a Masters degree in chemistry or a related discipline from a recognized university. Outstanding MSc applicants may be offered admission directly to the PhD program or have the opportunity to transfer from the MSc to the PhD program without first completing the MSc.
  4. Applicants are required to submit a complete application to the School of Graduate Studies, including a one-page statement describing their research interests and experience.
  5. International Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the English proficiency requirements of the School of Graduate Studies. This is normally done by submitting language test scores. Minimum paper-based TOEFL score of 550, with a TWE score of 4.0; internet based TOEFL minimum 79; IELTS band 7.0.
