Program Overview for German(Master's) in Canada:

Learning another language fulfills the primary purpose of a university education: to prepare citizens to reason, analyse, problem-solve and communicate in a world of cultural differences.

The cultural and linguistic knowledge acquired in German studies at the graduate level prepares students for employment, further study, or both. Those students interested in careers in teaching are encouraged to participate in Memorial's Teaching Skills Enhancement Program.

The MA program involves courses and a thesis, and can normally be completed in two years of full-time study.
