The Masters program of Earth Sciences - MSc (Water) at University of Waterloo has study option of both thesis based and masters research papeer based. The graduates research fields are:

Canadian and international students are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier Scholarship, which is valued at $50,000 per year for up to three years.
