These are the international student eligibility for the International Migration and Refugee Law in Netherlands

Law degree
You can be admitted to the programme if your degree is assessed as equivalent to a Dutch aEUROemic Bachelor's degree in Law and you have completed enough courses relevant to the specialization(s) which you wish to pursue.
We use the UK Naric comparison system and the Nuffic comparison and validation programmes to assess your application.

Other aEUROemic degrees If you have an aEUROemic degree which is relevant for the specialization which you wish to pursue, you may also be admitted, if your degree is assessed as equivalent to a Dutch aEUROemic Bachelor's degree and you:
- have completed at least 60 EC in law courses; and
- have acquired knowledge of and insight into at least one area of law relevant to your specialization to at least the level of the end-terms of the VU Law bachelor.
In exceptional cases relevant work experience may be taken into consideration for the 60 EC requirement.

You cannot be admitted to the programme with a degree which is not relevant for the specialization, not even if you have completed 60 EC in law courses.

Admission on the basis of a degree from a University of Applied Sciences in not possible.

Law degree (LLB)

You can be admitted to the programme, to all specializations.

Interdisciplinary degree with legal track
You may be admitted to the programme with an interdisciplinary degree with a legal track, such as a Liberal Arts and Sciences degree or PPLE, if you have completed at least 60 EC in law courses.

Other aEUROemic degrees If you have an aEUROemic degree which is relevant for the specialization that you wish to pursue, you may also be admitted, if you:
- have completed at least 60 EC in law courses; and
- have acquired knowledge of and insight into at least one area of law relevant to your specialization to at least the level of the end-terms of the VU Law bachelor.
In exceptional cases relevant work experience may be taken into consideration for the 60 EC requirement.
