Program Overview for Bachelor in Illustration in Canada:

In the illustration program, you will learn to make images that are complementary or self-sufficient to written text. When you look at the world we live in, we will encourage you to express your personal artistic voice. The works of illustrators can be seen in many places, such as:

  • magazines
  • books
  • newspapers
  • murals
  • advertisements
  • posters
  • packaging
  • merchandise
  • comics and
  • graphic novels 
  • website design
  • in close cooperation with teachers and
  • traditional and digital illustrations painter.

This program will help you understand the art of communication while also learning the business skills needed to work as a freelancer.

The eligibility for Bachelor in Illustration in Canada for both domestic and international student is:

For Ontario high school students, a minimum overall average of 70%; Portfolio (samples of your work and a visual representation of who you are); Statement of Intent; Official transcripts;

Secondary School Graduation equivalent to Grade 12 in Ontario with an overall average of B or 70% numeric equivalent in the final year and If you are applying from a country or school system with English as the official language of instruction, a minimum grade of B or 70% numeric equivalent in English 12 or equivalent course is required. 

You also need:

  • Statement of Intent (required for all programs) and Portfolio (required for all studio BFA, BDes programs) or Writing sample (required for the BA in Visual and Critical Studies)
  • Official transcripts
  • English Language Proficiency Test results (if required)
