Program Overview for Bachelor in Digital Painting and Expanded Animation in Canada:

Digital Painting and Expanded Animation is a specialization of both the Integrated Media and Drawing & Painting Programs. For this Integrated Media specialization, you’ll focus on traditional and digital animation. The Drawing & Painting specialization focuses on animation, digital media and painting.

In this program you’ll take the core Integrated Media classes but also experiment with stop motion techniques, 3D animation and 2D visual effects for animation. Beyond the technical skills, you’ll also learn to create your own ideas and artistic voice.

The eligibility for Bachelor in Digital Painting and Expanded Animation in Canada for both domestic and international student is:

For Ontario high school students, a minimum overall average of 70%; Portfolio (samples of your work and a visual representation of who you are); Statement of Intent; Official transcripts;

Secondary School Graduation equivalent to Grade 12 in Ontario with an overall average of B or 70% numeric equivalent in the final year and If you are applying from a country or school system with English as the official language of instruction, a minimum grade of B or 70% numeric equivalent in English 12 or equivalent course is required.

In this course, you will learn basic drawing and drawing courses, while trying stop-motion animation techniques, 3D animation and 2D animation, and drawing visual effects. In addition to technical skills, you will also learn to create your own artistic ideas and sounds. You will learn painting and art courses from the first year, and then you will focus on painting, digital imaging and animation. To apply for this specialization, you must choose painting and drawing, and choose digital painting and extended animation as your major.
