The mission of Nordson BUILDS is to attract and cultivate a diverse and high-quality manufacturing talent pool. It aims to help smart and motivated students to obtain and complete higher education by lowering the financial barriers for many people to enter the university and reducing the loan burden of those applying for financial aid.
Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for Nordson BUILDS grants. Manufacturers need engineers, scientists, production technicians, lawyers, financial analysts, IT experts, accountants, sales staff, marketing professionals, and human resources-all kinds of talented people to succeed.
Nordson Corporation offers three scholarship categories: career and technology, university scholars, and architectural equity. These manufacturing scholarships are for business individuals who have a permanent residence or university near the Nordson factory and are pursuing a manufacturing major, engineering-related STEM subjects, or a career in American business and industry.
Students who plan to enroll or have attended an accredited public or private non-profit higher education institution will receive scholarships ranging from US$2,000 to US$10,000. The selection of will be based on an overall assessment of the applicant's academic performance, leadership skills, personality, community service, school participation, and career/university adjustment.
Nordson Corporation cooperates with OFIC (Ohio Independent University Foundation) Scholarship Management Resources (SMR), an independent scholarship service provider that manages the scholarship program, including the selection of winners. This ensures a fair and objective-based selection process. The number of recipients will depend on the number and quality of the requests received.
The Nordson BUILDS Scholarship Application is available online January 15 - May 15 of each year. The application deadline is May 15. Children / family members of Nordson employees can also apply.
