WWIN Star Scholars in USA: Receives up to $5,000 per academic year and up to $20,000 over her undergraduate college career at the approved Washington college or university of her choice.

Get financial support for a college degree in a field that pays living wages. Each WWIN Star Scholar can receive up to $ 5,000 per academic year and up to $ 20,000 during their undergraduate career at the approved Washington university of their choice. 

WWIN selects women who are ready to face transformational life changes and who have demonstrated financial need to help them pay for a college degree. 

Our students are determined and motivated to create a better future for themselves and their families. They are ready to earn a college degree and bring positive change for themselves, their families, and future generations in the community. 

Application Criteria for WWIN Star Scholars in USA


Applicants for WWIN Star Scholars must meet all of the following criteria: 

  1. You identify as a woman
  2. You have lived in Washington state for the past 12 months
  3. You will be 18 years of age or older as of September 1, 2021
  4. You are a US citizen, permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or current DACA recipient to the United States
  5. You have submitted your 2021-2022 FAFSA or WASFA and have received your Student Aid Report (SAR)
  6. You are enrolled at or admitted into a college or university approved by the Washington College Grant for the 2021-2022 academic year. Eligible schools can be found here.
  7. You are working towards an Associate’s degree, Certificate, technical degree, or your first Bachelor’s degree
  8. Your cumulative GPA is at or above 2.50
  9. You demonstrate financial need towards your Cost of Attendance

Benefits


Each WWIN Star Scholar receives up to $5,000 per academic year and up to $20,000 over her undergraduate college career at the approved Washington college or university of her choice.

Selection Criteria 


Our researchers are selected through a competitive review process. This means that our reviewers will read each application to select scholars that best fit WWIN's vision, mission, and values. Our reviewers focus on answers to paper questions about you and the future you want to create for yourself. When completing the application, be as thoughtful, honest and thorough as possible.
