SchoolHouse Connection is a national non-profit organization dedicated to solving the problem of homelessness through education. We work with early childhood programs, schools, higher education institutions, service providers, families and youth to provide strategic support and practical assistance.

We believe that education is the only permanent solution for the homeless. Our vision is to enable homeless children and youth from birth to higher education to have full access to high-quality learning opportunities, so that they will never be homeless when they grow up, and the next generation will never be homeless.

The SchoolHouse Connection Youth Leadership and Scholarship Program:

  • offers scholarships to youth who have experienced homelessness to ensure they complete their postsecondary education program.
  • Assist youth with the process of financial assistance, mental health promotion and referral, professional legal promotion and referral, and help find and establish local contacts for general support and services.
  • Establish a stable peer and adult support network for beneficiaries before, during and after their university career and transition to the labor market.
  • provides youth with meaningful opportunities to engage in advertising, while providing ongoing support services to help ensure graduation and success in life.
