Scholarships The United States has established a scholarship program to help students currently enrolled in higher education programs (colleges, universities, or two- or four-year vocational schools) pay for the second year and beyond.

If selected as a recipient, award amounts range from $5,000 to $15,000, and will be granted in the following categories:
Depending on full-time admission, satisfactory academic performance, and availability of funds, the award may be extended for up to three years or until the first bachelor's degree is obtained, whichever comes first. For each eligible renewal year, the award will increase by $1,000.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria as of the application deadline date:
USA citizen or permanent resident (or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA))

A personal statement about unusual personal or family goals and situations will also be considered to show that the student has overcome obstacles to school success. The focus will be on financial needs and the ability to overcome challenges and obstacles. Financial needs will be considered when determining the amount of each award. The recipient must demonstrate the need.
SA will select the finalists. An external selection committee composed of educators and community leaders will select the winners. Not all applicants for the program will be selected as recipients. Students who were not previously beneficiaries can reapply for the program every year after meeting the eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept this decision as final.
