IBTTA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM in USA: If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to five (5) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Awards are for undergraduate study only.

The International Bridge, Tunnel and Toll Road Association (IBTTA) is a global association of owners and operators of toll facilities and companies that provide these facilities. IBTTA was founded in 1932 and has members in 23 countries on six continents. Through advocacy, thought leadership, and education, members are implementing innovative and cutting-edge user-based transportation financing solutions to meet the critical infrastructure challenges of the 21st century.

Application Criteria for IBTTA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM in USA


Students must:

1.  Have completed their sophomore year of college,

2. Be pursuing a degree in one of the following fields:

  • Engineering

  • Civil Engineer

  • Structural Engineer

  • City and Regional Planning

  • Construction Management

  • Public Policy or Public Administration

  • Other Transportation-related Degree

  • Finance

  • Accounting

  • Information Technology

  • Business Management

  • Marketing

  • Communications

  • Operations Management


3. Be continuing their undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year AND,

4. Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Through a competitive selection process, the IBTTA Foundation awards a scholarship of US$5,000 to undergraduate students pursuing transportation-related degrees at accredited universities. The scholarship program is launched every spring and is managed by Scholarship America®, the largest scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support program designer and management agency in the United States.

The program is open to companies, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are given regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin. 

It was established to help college students seek a degree in one of the following eligible fields. The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the designer and administrator of the largest scholarship program, tuition assistance, and other educational support programs in the United States.

The program is open to companies, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Selection Criteria:

Scholarship recipients are selected based on their academic performance, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and external evaluations. Applicants must also submit a resume showing the work done in industry-related activities. Regardless of economic needs.

The winners were selected by the American Scholarship. Under no circumstances will any officials or employees of IBTTA or the IBTTA Foundation participate in the selection. All applicants agree to accept this decision as final.
