#RAREis Scholarship Fund in USA: The program will provide a one-time scholarship grant of $5,000 to pursue educational enrichment opportunities, including accredited courses, trade programs and two-and four-year degrees. Awards will be provided to 32 recipients.
Having a rare disease comes with many challenges; education should not be one of them. In order to help rare disease patients while overcoming educational barriers, we have established the #RAREis scholarship fund in cooperation with the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases. The program will provide a one-time $ 5,000 scholarship to pursue a host of educational opportunities, including accredited courses, business courses, and two- and four-year degrees.
The scholarship will be awarded based on the completion of an essay and consideration of the applicant's leadership ability, school and rare disease community activities, work experience, academic performance and financial needs. Winners will be notified in October. EveryLife Foundation will manage the scholarship application process, selection process and funding allocation regardless of Horizon's contribution. All scholarship recipients will be selected by an independent review committee appointed by EveryLife Foundation.
