Program Overview for PhD in Biomedical Engineering in Canada:

This collaborative graduate program prepares students for careers in biomedical engineering and provides them with the opportunity to advance their own research, tap into Ryerson’s leading faculty-based research and work on industry-related projects.

Throughout the program, students are supported by a network of experienced faculty supervisors and have opportunities for training at research hospitals such as St. Michael’s Hospital and the University Health Network.

This program supports student development in biomedical engineering R&D — which is ranked as the number-one job in the health-care industry — to meet the demand for better medical devices, more sophisticated medical equipment and improved biomedical procedures.
