These are the international student eligibility for the Doctor of Design - DDes in Canada

A minimum of 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 point system, over the past two years of full-time study (a minimum of 10 full-course equivalents or 60 units) of the undergraduate degree.. A professional design degree from an accredited school.
  • Supervisor: A supervisor is required, but is not required prior to the start of the program
  • Work Samples: A digital portfolio providing examples of or illustrating the applicant's design work, professional work, consulting reports, policy reviews, research, creative thinking, community action, planning products, or graphics and visual communication.
  • Documents: A research proposal that describes the applicant's professional work to date and the nature of the research they expect to undertake. 2,500 word maximum, including researcher's background, context of the research proposal, research questions, and broader impacts of the proposed research. A funding plan that demonstrates that financial resources are available for the entire program of study CV
  • Reference Letter: Two
