The Department of French offers graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Arts (MA) in French Letters (with dissertation or with thesis) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in French Letters. 

The Department also participates in several multidisciplinary programs: Women's Studies (at the master's level), Medieval and Renaissance Studies (at the master's level), and Canadian Studies (at the doctoral level), which allows students to '' acquire a specialization in one of these fields.

B+ (75 %) in an M.A. in French, French Studies, or the equivalent thereof. Other Documents:

  • Resume (must include chronological academic history)
  • Letter of intent (written in French)

  • Please note that non required admission documents will not be consulted, conserved or returned to the student. These documents will be destroyed according to our administrative procedures.
