The program provides a specialization in Applied Mathematics with the engineering background knowledge required for work with engineers and scientists on problems that require a combination of engineering insight and rigorous mathematical analysis.

It also prepares the student for work on engineering problems in research centres and industry. The program is designed for students who have already completed an undergraduate program in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
