Sociology is one of the most popular courses at Arcadia Academy of Art. We offer a variety of courses covering a wide range of social topics, including anthropology, criminology and deviance, cultural studies, education, family issues, gender and feminism, health and healthcare, political economy, racial and ethnic relations, research and Methodology, Social movement, social theory, social development, and work.

Sociology courses involve careful study of how society works. It focuses on social problems and their solutions and uses various cross-cultural, historical, and critical methods to understand the ever-changing world.

The Arcadia Department of Sociology prides itself on its excellent teacher-student contact. Through smaller classes, especially advanced classes, you can develop and express your ideas. You will actively participate in department attendance meetings and serve on key committees.

We have a strong honors program and a small but strong graduate program. Graduate and honors students generally serve as assistants in lower-level courses and, less formally, as tutors for college students adjusting to college life. Your opinions and thoughts make our discussion in the classroom and the cafe wonderful. Prepare to dedicate yourself to sociology.
