The focus of politics research is the pressing issues of our time and the potential to change them. Acadia offers courses to develop the analytical skills, theories, and knowledge needed to understand the power, culture, law, policy, and government in Canada and worldwide. Our courses are related to contemporary issues such as peace and war, environment, development, and media.
Get Inspired:
Acadia's politics department is small and tight, with a strong sense of community. In addition to small classes, the teachers also maintain an open policy and are always eager to help you succeed. We believe in helping our students grow into active citizens and actively encourage them to participate in various societies and activities outside of their studies. Our department’s Student Association (APSA) organizes meetings, social gatherings, elections and debates, and other events where students and teachers can meet informally.
