Arcadia's degree in mathematics and statistics provides you with key tools for understanding and solving scientific, business, and humanities problems. The courses we provide will give you a basic understanding of all areas of mathematics and statistics. You will learn to use analytical methods combined with data collection and interpretation to simulate the real world.
Outside of the classroom, you will participate in math competitions, national conferences, and summer studies while enjoying the social activities organized by the department’s student associations. Our statistical consulting and mathematical modeling center supports students and teachers in research in various fields such as safety, energy, health, and natural resources.

Acadia's math and statistics courses combine high-level teaching and personal attention in small classes with diverse courses and research opportunities comparable to large institutions. We encourage you to gain professional experience through teaching assistants, consulting/reading courses, research positions, and cooperative internships to prepare you for an exciting career and graduate study.
The flexibility of the program means that many of our students pursue dual careers in physics, music, French, and business. The department also offers a five-year BEd/BSc degree for mathematics teachers and new courses in actuarial science.
