Choosing to study history at Arcadia will allow you to understand our modern world and the major global challenges we all face. When you gain important insights into the past and the present, you will develop basic analytical and writing skills.
Arcadia offers history courses in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, as well as some professional subjects such as war, revolution, material culture, gender, science, and the environment. Many Arcadia students major in history, while many other students take history courses as electives and general interests.
Graduates use their historical experience to pursue careers in various fields, including education, law, journalism, business, and government. An honors degree allows you to focus on more specialized research topics and prepare you for further history, archival research, and museum research.
