These are the international student eligibility for the MA in Globalisation and Development Studies in Netherlands

Graduates from a relevant university bachelor’s programme You are eligible for admission if you have a bachelor's degree in the field of Social Sciences: Anthropology, Sociology, Geography, Economics, Political science, International Relations, Development Studies, European Studies, Liberal Arts and Sciences. Or humanities: History, Philosophy, Arts and Culture, or an equivalent level of relevant education or working experience. Furthermore, you need:

• a basis in globalisation and development issues. For example, a minor in Globalisation & Development from FASoS, or similar undergraduate courses
• a basis in social science research methods, covering both qualitative and quantitative methods
• good grades in your prior education

Graduates from another bachelor’s programme Excellent students with a relevant University of Applied Sciences degree (e.g. HBO/ Hochschule), or an academic BA or BSc Bachelor in a field that does not grant direct admission into this programme, can follow a Pre-master year. Once successfully completed, this will then guarantee you access to the master’s programme Globalisation and Development Studies. Students are also required to have:

• CV. Please list your education, relevant extracurricular activities and internship/professional experience.
• Motivation letter (Please provide good arguments about why you want to do this master's programme at Maastricht University and why you believe that you can successfully complete the programme.)
• Submit a writing sample
• English Language Proficiency

These are the domestic student eligibility for the MA in Globalisation and Development Studies

The international student tuition fees and costs for MA in Globalisation and Development Studies in Netherlands.

Prospective students who received their prior education in a non-EU/EEA country* need to pay a handling fee of €100 (excl. bank costs) at the start of the application process for all UM bachelor, master and bridging programmes. This fee covers the administrative costs concerning the assessment of prospective students’ prior education diploma. Your application will not be processed, if the handling fee is not paid.
