NDS McCullough Freshman Communications Scholarship in USA: 1 at $1,000 & 2nd and greater - $1,000
Today's dairy leaders can be found in classrooms, dairy youth organizations, dairy competitions, and on farms around the country. The mission of the National Dairy Shrine is to motivate, stimulate, and inspire them. National Dairy Shrine has understood the need of creating a foundation for the future from its establishment, and has continually expanded its young programs to capture and challenge the interest of outstanding dairy youth.
Dairy kids, our future leaders, are able to apply for college scholarships and recognition prizes from the National Dairy Shrine, with rewards totalling over $40,000 each year.
In addition to other personal information required, a applicant need to write essays on the following topics:

This scholarship is available to any Freshman in a four year college or university with a commitment to major in Dairy/Animal Science with a Communications emphasis or Agricultural Journalism with a Dairy/Animal Science emphasis. The applicant must be planning on a career in dairy communications or journalism.
From the applications received, an anonymous selection committee appointed by the National Dairy Shrine President will determine the recipients based on their communications skills, activities and plans for the future. The applicant must have at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale, accumulated or equivalent).

The applicant must be a freshman studying in Dairy/Animal Science with a Communications emphasis or Agricultural Journalism with a Dairy/Animal Science emphasis at a four-year institution or university. The student must intend to pursue a profession in dairy journalism or communications in the future.
Scholarships are awarded based on communication skills, extracurricular activities, academic performance, and long-term goals. Marshall E. McCullough, a well-known Georgia nutrition researcher, educator, and journalist, established this scholarship through a bequest.
