The Women in International Trade (WIIT) is headquartered in Washington, DC, and is dedicated to promoting the professional development of women in the field of international trade and business and raising public awareness of the importance of international trade for economic development. . WIIT does this in the following ways:

professional development opportunities,
educational products, and
online professional social activities.

WIIT's mission is to promote the professional advancement of women in the field of international business and commerce, and to create public awareness of the importance of international trade for economic development.

Women in International Trade (WIIT) provides WIIT scholarship programs to female students twice a year in the United States.

Application Criteria for Zynergy Community Scholarship in USA

The WIIT Scholarship Program in the United States is a merit-based scholarship awarded twice a year to support and encourage women to study all aspects of international trade, including trade relations, trade policies and negotiations, economic development, and women’s economic empowerment.

Applicants must identify as female and be currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. university or college, either full-time or part-time. Applicants must be undergraduate Juniors or Seniors or enrolled in graduate studies.
Awards ($1,500) will be based on the quality of the assigned essay and the applicant's demonstrated interest in international trade, and are made without regard to race, religion, age, national origin, ability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

The essay must be a relevant international trade topic (see suggestions below) and can be a custom essay submission or an existing academic essay written in the appropriate format for current class assignments. The submission should be:

Minimum 5, and Maximum 10 numbered pages (exclusives of endnotes, bibliography, if used)
Typed, double spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman font
In PDF format
Submitted to info@wiittrust.org

Application deadlines are April 1st and November 1st, and winners will be notified by May 15th and December 15th, respectively.

Benefits

Selected winners of The WIIT Scholarship Program will receive $1,500 and:

One full year of personal mentorship by a WIIT Trust or a WIIT member.
One full year of WIIT membership.
One WIIT program based on the topic of the winning essay with knowledgeable professionals from the WIIT community. The scholarship winner will have a visible opportunity to engage in a role in the panel discussion.
