Country: USA Value: $15,000.00 Deadline: March 1, 2021 Category: Undergraduate & Graduate

For most American families, a college education is already a huge financial challenge, but when parents die and life insurance is almost gone, students will become more difficult. Life insurance is an important financial safety net for parents to leave their families.

Unfortunately, nearly 102 million Americans do not have life insurance, and most life insurance falls far short of recommended insurance.

Recognizing the character and perseverance of so many young people in the face of such adversity, Life Happens sponsored the annual Life Lessons Scholarship Program for college students and high school students about to go to college.

Eligible participants who submit essays or videos on how the death of their parents affected their lives are eligible for scholarships. Over the years, more than US $ 2.5 million in college scholarships have been awarded. We expect to offer a US $ 250,000 scholarship in 2021. 4,444 applications are accepted from February 1 to March 1 of each year.
