PREA Scholarship Program in USA: If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $500 to $5,000.

PREA's mission is to provide services to its members participating in institutional real estate investment by sponsoring objective forums for education, research projects, member interaction and information exchange. Founded in 1979,

Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) is a non-profit industry association for the global institutional real estate investment industry. PREA currently lists more than 700 member companies in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.

Our members include public and corporate pension funds, endowment funds, foundations, TaftHartley funds, insurance companies, investment consulting companies, REITs, developers, real estate operating companies and industry service providers.

In keeping with our educational mission, the Pension Real Estate Association annually awards scholarships to promising students studying real estate at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

These scholarships are awarded through our own scholarship program, and financial needs are taken into consideration when determining the amount of each award. Potential recipients found to be unnecessary will be eligible for the minimum reward.

PREA is also a long-term corporate donor to the Robert A. Toigo Foundation and its scholarships for ethnic minorities and female students. In 2020, the program allocated 30,000 US dollars to students, as follows:

  • awarded 20,000 US dollars to graduate and undergraduate students majoring in real estate or majors. Funds are allocated through PREA’s scholarship program administrator Scholarship America at our sole discretion.
  • $ 10,000 was awarded to the Robert A. Toigo Foundation to support the education and professional development of minority students engaged in real estate careers. The Robert Toigo Foundation selected four researchers to share the $10,000 bonus.
