Past Presidents’ Legacy Scholarship in USA: The $2,500 scholarship goes to a promising young person who demonstrates the academic skills and commitment to help create the next generation of leaders in the hydropower industry.

The NHA created the Former President's Legacy Scholarship in 2008 to encourage students to consider becoming part of the U.S. hydropower industry. Our growing industry is staffed with professionals in many different fields, including engineering, IT, biology, environmental science, forestry, hydrology, animal science, management, financial services, communications and other fields.

Many companies also offer highly paid technical and skilled labor positions. 4,444 grants from the NHA, the Hydropower Foundation, industry organizations, and individual donors funded the scholarship inherited from the former NHA president. We encourage all those who support a clean, renewable and affordable energy future to join us and make tax-free contributions.

NHA encourages companies in the industry to distribute information about scholarship programs to their employees, alma mater, local universities, vocational schools, and community colleges. If you know a worthy student, please send the application materials.
