Generation Google Scholarship in USA: Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2020-2021 school year.
The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive $10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or $5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2021-2022 school year.
The Generation Google Scholarship will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, demonstrated leadership, and academic performance. The program is open to students who meet all the minimum qualifications and we strongly encourage students that identify with groups historically excluded from the technology industry, including Women, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, to apply.
Applicants are not required to currently be enrolled in an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program for the 2020-2021 academic year to apply. Recipients of one of the following Google Scholarships: Generation Google Scholarship, Google Lime Scholarship, Google Student Veterans of America Scholarship, Women Techmakers Scholarship for Computer Science, and Women Techmakers Scholarship for Gaming are not eligible to reapply.

The Generation Google Scholarship should be used to pay for the tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment that students need to attend classes at their elementary school. Scholarship recipients must be registered as full-time students in the academic year 20212022. Prior to selecting winners, enrollment will be verified and all scholarships will be paid directly to students for tuition and education expenses.
Students under the age of 18 upon admission must have their parents or guardians sign these terms and conditions of the scholarship. For fellows who no longer meet the eligibility requirements, we will retain their awards and cancel the awards for fellows who no longer meet the eligibility requirements. Selected winners will receive instructions from Google on how to win the prize.
If these steps are not completed by the specified deadline, the winner will not be able to receive the prize. The beneficiary may defer up to one (1) year from the date of the original planned payment, as determined by Google.
