Every year, Dalhousie awards millions in scholarships and bursaries to support incoming students. More than 2,000 entrance awards are available through our General Entrance Award application.
If you’re applying to Dalhousie directly from high school (or have not completed any other transferable post-secondary study), please complete the Dalhousie General Entrance Award application to be considered for the majority of entrance awards and bursaries available.
These are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular involvement, community service, financial need, and cultural identity. Please note, a small number of awards do require a separate application.
Students need an 80% admission average or 26 predicted/anticipated IB Diploma points to be considered. Averages are calculated using the five courses that are required for the program that the student has applied for. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply.
How to apply:
To be considered for the Dalhousie General Entrance Award program, students must complete the application and submit any additional documents before the March 1 deadline.
International students should submit a General Entrance Award application to be considered for all relevant entrance awards, including the specific awards listed below. Follow the instructions above to apply.
