To meet the demand for science professionals, Trent and Ontario Tech offer innovative, interdisciplinary M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs that focus on the scientific foundation of materials research.

At Trent, you will build on fundamental science principles for your independent research project, developing skills in project management and effective communication of technical information. Comprised of coursework and a thesis, your degree will prepare you for a career in research and development in the public or private sector.

  • M.Sc. students may apply for transfer to the Ph.D. program after one year.

  • A Writing Sample(Submit a sample of your writing of about 20 pages or less. Writing samples preferred format is PDF.)
  • Proof of Citizenship (ie. copy of passport or birth certificate) will be requested, only if an offer of admission is made.
