This new Master of Science in Applied Computer Science and Society is unique in North America. The plan will encourage critical reflection on how technology and society interact. It will provide practical and applied for courses, solving globalization and cultural issues while providing technical guidance. The new plan will meet the growing professional needs of the government, industry, and non-profit sectors. International trainers dedicated to innovative computer research will provide the program.

The plan builds on the existing strengths of the department and will promote research and development in the field of information and computer technology (ICT) with 300 ICT companies in Manitoba.
In this program, you will have the opportunity to cooperate with prominent teachers with a wide range of research interests, including algorithms and complexity, computational intelligence, computer vision, data warehousing, document and web databases, computing granular, image processing, pattern recognition, Software Engineering, Rough Sets, Security and Privacy, Multimedia Computing and Wireless Communication.
Information on specific research topics can be found on the teacher's website. We offer both course-based and thesis-based programs. The expected graduation time is 2 years; the maximum period is 5 years.

Our thesis-based program aims to provide a good foundation for doctoral degrees in computer science or other related fields. Graduates of our curriculum-based programs are fully qualified for employment in industry, the public sector, and academia.
Students may be admitted if they hold an Honours or 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science and/or Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent and if they present a suitable selection of courses. Minimum Entry Requirement: Overall GPA of 3.0. (For the thesis track, the student must also have a supervisor selection prior to admission). Other Required Documents:
