Sustainability, innovation, and community involvement are hallmarks of Cape Breton University’s culture. The Master of Education in Sustainability, Creativity and Innovation (MEd SCI) program is for progressive thinkers and problem solvers. It provides courses that enable students to become more capable leaders in sustainable education for personal well-being and community And global and improve teaching.
Acquire skills through real-world connections and comprehensive learning. Using the education for sustainable development (ESD) capabilities defined by the United Nations, the MEd SCI program provides students with the knowledge and skills to create transformative learning opportunities anywhere in the world.
The MEd SCI course is designed for part-time learning, is provided in a flexible format, and is completely online. Students will be exposed to innovative courses on sustainable well-being, education, and indigenous languages and cultures.
CBU’s barrier-free teachers are committed to providing excellent teaching through direct learning courses and conducting original research to support sustainable development scholarships. Students can choose to complete their degree through an applied research project route or a thesis route.
The MEd SCI plan was approved by the Higher Education Commission of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs to reclassify the teaching license. Although popular with teachers, a Bachelor of Education is not a prerequisite for the MEd SCI course. It is open to other applicants interested in expanding their education and seeking professional development opportunities.
