The Master of Science program provides students in a wide range of disciplines with the opportunity to earn a master's degree by writing a dissertation and completing a limited number of courses. Writing an essay in any discipline requires several skills essential to the general education tradition, including the analysis and synthesis of ideas, empirical investigations, the construction and expression of arguments, and writing skills.
The MSc program prepares Students for Ph.D. Courses in related disciplines, as well as transferable professional skills for a wide range of professional development. Students must secure a potential supervisor before applying to this program. For more information, visit our executive search page.
The thesis is the basic requirement of the project. It involves close collaboration between the tutor and the student, so they must research with the tutor on campus. Our master's program is only taught on the Lethbridge campus.
Both full-time and part-time registration is available. Full-time students complete 24 months of courses, while part-time students complete 48 months of courses. Please refer to individual majors for more information, including admissions and course components.
