Program Overview for Msc in Biomedical Engineering in Canada:
This interdisciplinary program involves the application of engineering principles and design concepts to the solution of specific problems in medicine, veterinary medicine, and related fields. The dominant areas of research interest among our faculty include:
- Bio-Medical Science (biomechanics, bioinformatics, injury)
- Bio-Engineering (tissue engineering, biomaterials, drug delivery)
- Medical Imaging and Diagnosis/Intervention (MRI, synchrotron imaging, imaging process)
These are the international student eligibility for the Msc in Biomedical Engineering in Canada
- A cumulative weighted average of at least a 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units)
- a four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study
- Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research

In your application, indicate if your attendance is dependant on receiving funding. Competition for scholarships and fellowships is competitive. Award decisions will be made by the department after you have been admitted to the program. In addition to potential funding from your department, there are scholarships and awards available to all eligible students. There are also special programs for international students from China and Mexico.
