In your application, indicate if your attendance is dependant on receiving funding. Competition for scholarships and fellowships is competitive. Award decisions will be made by the department after you have been admitted to the program. When contacting potential supervisors about the research you would like to do, ask about funding opportunities.

In addition to potential funding from your department, there are scholarships and awards available to all eligible students. There are also special programs for international students from China and Mexico.

Contact with a supervisor before applying.Applications to this academic unit require a pre-qualification form to be submitted prior to the formal online application. The pre-qualification form will be reviewed by department faculty. If resources allow, the applicant will then be invited to apply formally online. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
