The Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program provides instruction in nursing, health sciences, social sciences, and research; and opportunities for advanced attention in various fields.
The plan has been approved by the Registered Nursing College of British Columbia. As a graduate, you are eligible to take the NCLEX registration exam. UFV provides the most flexible course delivery options possible, including independent study, lectures, seminars, multimedia methods, and laboratory simulations and tutorials.
The clinical experience takes place in hospitals and community institutions with experience in supervising practice, counseling, and observation. UFV's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program implements a concept-based curriculum, with the goal of creating a learning environment with better student participation and stronger critical thinking through student-oriented activities and strategies.
The basic premise of a concept-based curriculum is that the most commonly used concepts in nursing practice provide the basis for the curriculum. Therefore, you can learn concepts in depth through examples, and translate this knowledge into various contexts and practical situations.
Career expectations:
The BSN program is designed to prepare you to become an effective professional nurse in the ever-changing healthcare environment. The recent medical reform initiated by the provincial government emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and community medical care. These changes mean new opportunities for today's UFV nursing graduates, who are recognized as major contributors to health care reform.
As a graduate, you are ready to practice in a hospital or community and at many different levels. The Department of Aboriginal Health provides opportunities for young, enthusiastic, and educated people in British Columbia. Aboriginal and indigenous youth.

Given the competitive admission process, meeting the minimum admission requirements may not be accepted. Generally, shortlisted applicants have at least two A's and B's in the required academic year, as well as the volunteer or work experience that makes them unique.
Given the nature of the current global pandemic, we recognize that prospective students may find it difficult to obtain at least 30 volunteer hours required for the UFV care program. We encourage applicants to submit any completed volunteers, regardless of whether the volunteers are related to healthcare or otherwise. At this time, we encourage applicants to submit all volunteers and healthcare-related work experience.
