The Bachelor of Science in Physics allows you to theoretically and experimentally explore the nature of matter, energy, and their interactions. In this course, you can learn basic topics as early as possible, such as electromagnetism, wave physics, thermodynamics, and relativity.
Then advanced courses allow you to discuss advanced topics such as quantum theory and fluid mechanics and apply mathematical principles to the material world around you. Physics course also includes engineering and mechatronics options, if applied science piques your interest.

Career expectations:
The Hamilton Project found that occupations that emphasize quantitative skills tend to have the highest lifetime earnings for graduates. Physics graduates are expected to earn as much as computer science, engineering, economics, and finance professionals.
As a physics graduate, you can find a job in technical fields such as government or industrial laboratories, radiation monitoring or power plants, or scientific equipment operators. Or, you can combine a degree in physics with UFV's rich teacher education program to start a teaching career.
A degree in physics from UFV can also allow you to enter the postgraduate study in any subject. Many physics graduates continue their studies and careers as economists, financial consultants, industrial researchers, systems analysts, computer programmers, engineers, biophysicists, or astronomers.
