Program Overview for Bachelor of Science in Computing Science in Canada:

UFV’s computer science bachelor’s degree program provides you with a solid foundation in advanced algorithms, mathematics, database management, data analysis, programming, and software design while deepening your understanding of privacy, security, hacking, ethics and other related topics. Data processing and machine learning. 

In the first and second years of computer science, you will lay an important foundation in computer science tools, techniques, and concepts. The courses cover topics such as programming, hardware, and basic data structures, as well as basic mathematics courses such as calculus and discrete mathematics. In your junior and senior year, you can choose to focus your degree in one or more of the following three areas: 

  • Systems and Security

UFV can download your interim and final transcripts if you have provided permission to release your grades to UFV for one year at the Ministry of Education website.  The deadline to receive your final high transcript and proof of graduation is August 3.

Post-Secondary Applicants, please provide a copy of:

  • Your high school transcript(s).
  • Your post-secondary transcript(s) from all institutions attended. Please note that evaluation of previous post-secondary credit is a requirement for admission to some programs. If your official post-secondary transcript(s) is required, a document evaluation fee will be charged to your student account.
