UFV's four-year Bachelor of Agricultural Science with a focus on horticulture can help you develop a perfect combination of technical, communication, and business skills to prepare you for a leadership role in Fraser Valley agriculture.
In addition to the core content of horticultural projects in this field (for example, nursery, greenhouse, vegetable production, fruit, and science), this title also has a strong application focus. Most courses are related to laboratory parts, greenhouse practical work, and/or hiking. Laboratory work courses in biology, chemistry, and physical geography provide access to laboratory equipment and training in report writing and presentation.
The agricultural course emphasizes greenhouse operation, disease and pest diagnosis and treatment, and soil analysis from a theoretical and practical perspective.
