Program Overview for Phd in Neuroscience in Canada:

The Postgraduate Program in Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary project that combines professors from various UVic departments:

Our Graduate Program in Neuroscience Focuses on cellular and cognitive neuroscience, reflecting the two main streams of neuroscience research at UVic.

The program emphasizes the links between the core areas of neuroscience: learning and memory, synaptic function, developmental neuroscience, sensorimotor systems, and disease and injury. We encourage students to develop skills in multiple fields.

Our Ph.D. program is a full-time independent and original research program. Your experimental research will serve as the basis for your thesis, and you will defend it in the oral exam. You will also complete the candidate's qualification exam in preparation for writing the essay.
