The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry is intended as part of a dual major or a combination of major and minor. The program introduces students to traditional chemistry sub-disciplines, with special emphasis on analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry.
Course selection aims to maintain a wide range of attractiveness and relevance to various career goals, including teaching environment consulting and academic research. Students will understand the role of chemistry in many aspects of modern scientific research, including practical experience in modern chemical instruments and technologies.
This course aims to focus on basic principles to understand physical, chemical, and biological processes. The course develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, which are encouraged by the close interaction of student mentors and student mentors.
Students are eligible for admission to University Academic programs if they meet one of the following conditions:

Research
The Applied Environmental Research Laboratory (AERL) is a state-of-the-art laboratory conducting pure and applied research in environmental science in collaboration with public and private partners. The laboratory is fully equipped for foliar, soil, and water analysis using traditional and emerging methods.
Some instruments are included in advanced chemistry lab courses. In the senior year, students may choose to complete a research project semester under the supervision of faculty and staff. AERL also provides year-round employment opportunities for seniors to assist teachers in environmental sampling, chemical analysis, method development, and data interpretation.
Some of the recent research projects carried out at AERL include:
