A minimum of 3.4 GPA on a 4.0 point system, over the past two years of full-time study (a minimum of 10 full-course equivalents or 60 units) of the undergraduate degree.. A Master of Arts degree in one of the Laguagues, Literatures and Cultures areas of specialization, or equivalent from a recognized institution..
  • Supervisor: A supervisor is required, but is not required prior to the start of the program
  • Work Samples: A sample of critical writing: MA thesis or research paper or other writing, which the applicant considers representative of his or her best work. Either the sample research paper or the research proposal must be submitted in the target language of study.
  • Documents: Research proposal of 2-3 pages Statement of Intent: A 250-word (minimum) statement of research interest including the research topic and the reasons for wishing to pursue graduate work in this unit.
  • Reference Letter: Two
  • Other Tests: None
