Program Overview for Architecture - MArch - Course in Canada:

This three-year accredited professional degree takes a broad approach to design and sustainability. 

The program offers a comprehensive set of enrichment opportunities, including Block Week courses, the Design Matters Lecture Series, and study abroad programs (Barcelona, Tokyo, and the Pacific Northwest).

Students may be required to complete a foundation year, depending on background.

A minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 point system, over the past two years of full-time study (a minimum of 10 full-course equivalents or 60 units) of the undergraduate degree.. Four-year undergraduate degree, ideally with experience in design, the humanities, social sciences, arts, engineering, biological and/or physical sciences including, wherever possible, studio, laboratory and collaborative learning experiences..

  • Supervisor: No supervisor is required
  • Work Samples: Original and/or creative work in any field or medium, and provide in writing a brief description of the work. The requirements for digital portfolio submissions are found in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape website at: https://sapl.ucalgary.ca/future-students/admissions/how-apply. The portfolio will be submitted in digital form (portable document .PDF files), uploaded by the applicant to their Student Centre upon submission of their online application.
  • Documents: A statement of interest A C.V.
  • Reference Letter: Three
