These are the international student eligibility for the Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology - MBET in Canada

  • Applicants who complete an honours degree at a Canadian institution require a minimum overall average of 75% (or equivalent) over 4 years or a minimum overall average of 75% (or equivalent) over the last 2 years for admission. All other applicants require a minimum overall average of 75% (or equivalent) over 4 years in the applicant's previous honours degree program for admission.
  • Normally have at least one year of prior work experience obtained either through cooperative work terms as part of an undergraduate academic program or through post-graduate work experience.
  • As part of the admissions process, an interview is required. Applicants who are unable to come to campus for a personal interview will be interviewed by telephone.
  • Three references - at least one academic and one professional

Effective May 1, 2012, Waterloo’s guideline for minimum funding for incoming full-time master’s students in the first year of a non-co-op Master of Arts (MA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Master of Environmental Studies (MES), Master of Applied Science (MASc), Master of Mathematics (MMATH) (except coursework programs), or Master of Science (MSc) (except coursework programs) is $12,000.

This commitment applies to the first year of full-time enrolment for students in good academic standing. At Waterloo, graduate students may be able to receive funding from various sources such as Teaching Assistantships (TA), Research Assistantships (RA), Graduate Research Studentships (GRS), internal awards, external awards, bursaries and emergency loans.
